- 400g DC Half-Smoke, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (400g) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (400g) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Steps
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Stir in crushed tomatoes, cannellini beans, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
Bring to a simmer, then add the sliced half-smoke. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
