P.G. Molinari & Sons has made salame in San Francisco since 1896. The company started on Columbus Avenue in North Beach when Passera Guglielmo Molinari arrived from Tuscany. Four generations later, the factory still operates in the same neighborhood. Their flagship dry-cured salame hangs in delis across the Bay Area. The North Beach storefront sells sliced salame by the pound, sandwiches, and imported Italian goods.
