Ingredients
- 500g Kiszka sausage
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sour cream for serving
Steps
Slice the Kiszka into 1-inch thick rounds.
In a large skillet, melt butter with vegetable oil over medium heat.
Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook until golden brown and caramelized, about 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the Kiszka slices to the skillet with the onions. Cook for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until heated through and browned. Serve hot, with sour cream if desired.
Tips
Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking the Kiszka; work in batches to ensure even browning. A touch of caraway seed in the onions adds depth.
