- 500g frozen pierogi
- 400g Frankfurter Würstchen, sliced
- 500g sauerkraut, drained
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 150ml sour cream
- 2 tbsp brown mustard
- 50g grated Gruyère cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Sauté onion in olive oil until softened. Add sauerkraut and cook for 5 minutes.
In a baking dish, layer half the pierogi, then the sauerkraut mixture, sliced Frankfurter Würstchen, and the remaining pierogi. Combine sour cream and mustard, then spread over the top.
Sprinkle with Gruyère cheese and bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
